Despite the difficult conditions in the publishing market, the number of subscribers to the Valstiečių laikraštis (VL) has increased. In comparison to the beginning of January, 2009 and 2008, the number of subscribers has increased by 6.5 percents, and from the beginning of December, 2008 – by 7.5 percents. Currently, the total number of subscribers to the Valstiečių laikraštis is 29 600. At the bare, the Saturday circulation of Valstiečių laikraštis makes 35 000 copies.

There is also increase in sales of books published by the Valstiečių laikraštis at bookstores and Lithuanian post offices. More than 28 thousand books have been sold per year in total.
